What is a Tunnel To Towers Run/Walk?The Tunnel to Towers Run/Walk was created to honor heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, his 342 FDNY brothers and all 9/11 victims. By joining the T2T Run/Walk you will honor those that sacrificed in the line of duty and follow in the footsteps of an American hero, showing support for our first responders & military!
The NYC T2T Run/Walk is approximately 3.5miles
Only if you pre-registered and or register as a runner at any registration site except for RACE DAY.
Yes, at IKEA parking lot in Brooklyn. No timing chips given out that day.
Online registration will close on Tuesday September 24 at midnight. Is there transportation to & from the event? Yes. From Manhattan Shuttle busses and Boats will leave from Pier 11, Wall Street, beginning at 7 AM, last bus leaves for Brooklyn at 7:45 AM. You must be on the Bus or Boat line by 7:30 AM! No Runners will receive a chip ON SUNDAY.

Yes, bib numbers can be picked up at the start of the run, at IKEA PARKING LOT, but we request that you pick up your bib number prior to the day of the run either at: Petrides School, 715 Ocean Terrace, Staten Island, Wednesday and Thursday, 9/25 and 9/26, 2 PM to 7PM, or St. John's University, 101 Murray Street, NYC on Friday and Saturday, 9-27 and 9/28 from 10-5 pm.
Yes, please display it on the front of your outermost garment. Those who run without a bib will be pulled off the course and not allowed to finish.
Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral. A separate entrance (marked in yellow) will be at the front of the start line.
Yes, water stations will be located at the start, finish, and at a station at the end of the tunnel on the Manhattan side. Participants may also carry water bottles in the tunnel. We ask that you DO NOT discard those bottles in the tunnel.

NO. The run is restricted to foot traffic ONLY, as per the City of New York, for reasons of safety and security. For your safety and security the MTA & NYPD absolutely prohibits any backpacks, strollers and bicycles in tunnel. This will be strictly enforced.
If I have a backpack, what do I do with it?
You can check it with UPS. UPS will provide complimentary transport of participants CLEAR BAGS ONLY. UPS trucks will be located near the start of the race and each truck will be numbered. Place your belongings on the truck that matches the last number of your bib number.
Where do I reclaim my backpack after the run?
There is a tear off strip on your bib that is your baggage claim number. After the run you may reclaim your belongings from UPS, located on Murray Street between West St and Greenwich St in Manhattan.
Fundraising:
As a particpant how much money to I have to raise to participate?Each participant in the NYC T2T Run/Walk has agreed to raise a minimum amount of $100.
What happens if I can not raise the required amount?
You must raise $100 to receive your bib and participate in the run. In the event you are unable to reach the $100 commitment, you will have the opportunity to pay the remaining balance before receiving your bib.
Why is there a fundriasing requirement?
This fundriasing commitment ensures that all event participation will directly make an impact for our heroes in need! With your help, Tunnel to Towers will be able to provide support for our most severely injured service members - our quadruple amputees, triple amputees, and other catastrophically injured service members returning from serving in Iraq and Afghanistan through our Building For America's Bravest program.
Does my registration fee count towards my fundraising goal?
No, the $50 registration fee does not count toward the fundraising minimum.
What are the fundraising levels & prizes?
All participants will receive an official T2T decal upon achieving.
How does someone donate to my page?
There are a couple ways to donate to a page. 1. Users can use the search tool at the top right navigation to type in the name of the team or participant. When the correct name appears, click donate. 2. Your profile page has a unique URL that you can share through social networks, email, etc. Just copy and paste your page URL or use the sharing features to send your page to your supporters! Do donors get tax reciepts? When you register on line you should receive on automatically, if paying by credit card or check, that is your receipt. If paying in cash, receipt upon request.
